Lovina is a tourist spot located in the northern part of Bali island, this place was very famous for its calm sea with palm trees planted along the coast, black sand stretches along the coast and there are many hotels, restaurants and shops are available in this area which supporting this area as a tourist destination in Bali. Caressed by gentle waves, Lovina is a good area for snorkeling and enjoy the dolphins show. Hundreds of dolphins can be seen in the morning time around 1 km offshore. We can see dolphins in this place like jumping. it is no less interesting if the traveler has time to see the sunset. The accommodation is simple but many, such as restaurant, bar, beach activities, art shops, banks, transport etc,  are also available in this area such as hotel accommodation class until small hotel even the home stay for low budget travelers. Besides the beach, there are also around Lovina tourist attractions that are worth visiting, such as Hot Water Banjar, Buddhist Vihara (temple), Bite Waterfall and some countryside exist around the location.

Lovina bring blessings to the surrounding community. At first, Lovina was denied, not recognized by the government as an attractive tourist destination. But in fact, Lovina is a blessing for many people.

Things to do

  • A big draw in Lovina is the possibility of watching dolphins in their natural environment. It is a bit of a curiosity really as the relaxed beach atmosphere is arguably more of an asset. Nevertheless, every man and his dog will be able to set you up for some dolphin watching in Lovina.

  • Visit Banjar hot springs. Heading 11km west of Lovina along the road to Gilimanuk a sign points to Air Panas Banjar or Banjar Hot Springs.

How to get there

Lovina located not far from Kuta, traveling from Kuta will only spend about 3.5 hours drive. These are the route that you can use to reach Lovina:

  • First route is via Mengwi, then driving straight north, to the west of Ubud and up to Bedugul. This route will give you a chance to check out the lake, After Bedugul you pass the Botanical Gardens, in Candikuning and the famous waterfall at Gitgit. You can head straight north to Singaraja, then west about 6kms to Lovina.

  • Second route it is same as the first, except you can take the Munduk road, after passing through Candikuning, at Yeh ketipat. This route gets you off of the main road and takes you around the back of Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan, dropping down towards the north coast through Tunduk and Munduk, finally reaching the coastal road at Seririt. Lovina is 10 kms to the east.

  • Third route is via Tabanan, Antosari, Pupuan Seririt, Lovina. This route will take you on a winding course through lovely rice terraces, spending less time on busy straight roads than the first 2 routes. You’ll be looking at 5 hours to Lovina most likely.
