Eka Karya Botanical Garden is a huge Botanical gardens located in the middle of Bali island, which is located in the caldera of an extinct volcano, precisely in the region of Tabanan, Bali Province, Indonesia. Botanical gardens are the first nation founded by the son of Indonesia on July 15, 1959 and is located at 1250-1450 m above sea level overlooking Lake Beratan and Ulun Danu temple, with an area of approximately 154 hectares (380 acres). The temperature in this area is about 17-25 °C during the day and drop to 10-15 °C at night with a humidity of 70-90%. Eka Karya Botanical Garden also known as the Bali Botanic Garden. At the first time, Eka Karya Botanical Garden Bali is only for conifers, but along with the development and change of status as well as a broad region, the garden becomes ex-situ conservation areas for plants in tropical mountainous region in the eastern part of Indonesia. The park is known as an area of botanical research, conservation, education and recreation.
In the garden area, there are more than 1,500 species of plants are preserved, which represents 1,187 species of plants from the mountains in eastern part of Indonesia such as: Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua, and 524 species of birch tree from abroad. In addition to the collection of plants, Eka Karya Botanical Garden also has a traditional Balinese house that serves as a guest house for the scientists who made observations. It is also open to the public including tourists, especially for the domestic tourists. Eka Karya Botanical Garden Bali has several collections of plants grouped by their kinship. In addition to their collection, the types of plants also strived research and development. Some existing collections which include orchids, cacti, Nail / fern, bamboo, moss collection, Begonia, traditional ceremonies Plants, Medicinal Plants, Water Plants and Palma.

How to Get There
If you want to visit Eka Karya Botanical Garden, you can travel by road which will spend about one and a half hours drive from Denpasar, or about 80 miles to the north of Denpasar to Singaraja with the distance of about 40 km to the south to Denpasar or take approximately half an hours drive.
